Psychology isn't just an
academic field — it's
the lens for life.

The Psycolourgist started as a career hub for aspiring psychologists. Now it's grown into something bigger: a platform where leading experts unpack the psychological underpinnings of everything — from criminal behaviour to the way we love, grieve, work, and heal.

With a focus on diversity, inclusion, and making psychology truly accessible, we bring the science to the people who need it most.

Hi, I'm Janel Amoy.

I'm a Trainee Forensic Psychologist with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Forensic Psychology. I built The Psycolourgist because I wanted to create a space that didn't exist when I was starting out — one that centres diversity and inclusion in a field where both are still sorely lacking.

The podcast is an extension of that mission. Every guest is a real expert, every conversation is grounded, honest, and designed to make psychology feel as human as the people it's about.
